To describe the A/PLAPS-profile (pneumonia)
|
Is defined by the association of an A-profile (by definition anterior) and a PLAPS (by definition posterior). A posterior lung consolidation, and/or a pleural effusion, if not associated to a B-profile (transsudative alveolar filling in hemodynamic pulmonary edema), an A’-profile (possible hemothorax complicating a pneumothorax), or a deep venous thrombosis (lung infarction or pleural effusion during pulmonary embolism), are correlated in the BLUE-protocol, to the diagnosis of pneumonia. |
